I asked my mom to write a blog for me this week about how she felt about me going and being in Asia

As the snow falls here in Colorado I can’t help but think about my snow loving girl all the way in Thailand. Aydan, like the rest of her family loves all the seasons of Colorado, but winter is something extra special. We love the first big snow which means a trip to the mountains to snowboard isn't far off and all the hot drinks we can manage. I miss my kids when they are gone, an ache that doesn’t go away till I can squeeze their necks.

I will admit I was surprised when Aydan said she wanted to go on a 3 month mission trip!! I was ready for a couple of weeks or maybe a month, but 3??? Not only was Aydan growing in patience, trust and confidence in the Lord, so was I!! I was proud to watching her figure out details, raise money and

pray about her time in Asia.

Once Aydan decides she wants to do something, she fights hard to accomplish her goal. I love watching her faith strengthen , her adventurous spirit stretched and love for others grow.

I miss her like crazy but I am thrilled with her heart to go and serve!

So as I wait and pray and watch the snow fall, I will remember God is in control. Miss you, Rose!!
