Wow! What a crazy couple weeks it has been! I had my last day of work two weeks ago so I had to say bye to all the little kiddos and my amazing coworkers. My mom and I took Evan back to college and moved her back in saw some family and friends. Ended up staying three extra days in Joplin. Then had to say good bye to everyone there. Once we got back home that’s when it started feeling more real that I was going to be leaving soon too. With a little over a week left I still had to organize all my stuff for my trip, get what bag I was taking figured out, and make sure that I had everything I needed to be out of the country for three months. The past week has consisted of last minute amazon orders, trips to REI and Sierra, family dinners and movie nights, and packing. I had destroyed the living room with all my stuff and going through picking what clothes to bring. Packing and repacking and repacking and repacking to try to get everything to fit in my 65L backpack. That was one of the hardest things to do was condense everything and try to fit it all in my pack. When I wasn’t packing or running last minute errands I was seeing as many people as I could to say goodbye before I left :(

Then at 3:30 this morning I woke up double checked I had everything, said goodbye to my dog, and got into the car and headed to the airport, got checked in, said my final goodbyes to my family, and headed through security to my flight gate. Now I’m on my first part of the trip headed to Atlanta, Georgia to finally meet my team! I’m so excited to finally meet the people I’ve been texting for four months. When I get to the airport I get to meet up with the girls on my team who flew in. Then we go meet the staff member from the World Race and everyone else that flew in and take the 2 hour shuttle ride to The World Race headquarters in Gainesville, Georgia. Where we will spend the next couple days at training camp. Learning, worshiping, bonding, and getting prepared for the next three months.

September first is the Big Day! We Head to Atlanta International airport and head to Cambodia. The first part of the flight is 15 hours into Seoul, South Korea for a short layover, then just five short hours to Cambodia. I’m super excited for what the next three months have in store and the relationships I will create with my team and also the people I will encounter and to share my journey with you all!

Prayer Request:

- Safe travels and easy flights

- Health

- No problems with the luggage

- Good team relationships

Thank you all for the support and prayers it means a lot
